What an opportunistic idiot! Yes- I understand DL Hughley is a comedian but couldn’t he have shown some sensitivityv? There was no need for Hughley to go on Jay Leno and validate Imus’ offensive remarks.
And What happened at NBC? Did the producers just have enough time to edit Jay Leno’s reaction to Hughley before the show’s airing ?

D.L. Hughley is not funny. He’s good for a few chuckles and the rest is just crap. I didnt like him on Comic View and refuse to watch him on “Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip” .

Just Uhgh! I would boycott him, but his last venture was cancelled on NBC and his next venture is on BET, and we KNOW they don’t care. Those girls are somebody’s daughters and who the heck is he to call anybody ugly!

I think there plenty of us that are equally outraged about the portrayal of African American women in popular culture . Following the Oprah Town Hall meeting I decided to create a website to serve as a clearing house of all of the grassroots effort out there to combat misogyny in music. Whataboutourdaughters.org. I think that it is time to DEFUND THE WAR ON BLACK WOMEN! Period. End of discussion.

Unfortunately for you and all the other people who let gender, race and creed define who they are, both DL AND Imus have the right to say whatever they want, whenever they want to whomever they want without the nice police coming to ruin their lives. Anyone who advocates Imus being fired is truly pathetic. Should we just burn the constitution now and let whoever is offended make up the new rules as we go along? Get a grip. You have no right to be free from offense.

Its ok for rappers to call women bitches and hoes and refer to them as invaluable objects that were only but on earth for pleasure and not commitment, but call them ugly and thats outrageous-what kind of society are we.

Studio 60 lends evidence to some dramatic acting ability on D.L’s part and he tends to do well on HBO’s Real Time w/ Bill Maher. Comedy is a highwire act and I respect anybody who works it.
